The PrecisOR can be used directly on the production line. This enables seamless integration into your existing production process and ensures immediate availability of survey results without the need for time-consuming changeovers or transfers.

7. How long does a measurement take?

This depends on the size, shape and processing that is being measured. A sheet in the format 1000 x 2000mm takes about 30-40 seconds. A tray in the format 1000 x 7,000 takes about 70 seconds. Of course, the time given here also includes a complete test report with target/actual comparison.

8. Where can I buy the PrecisOR?

You can find information on purchasing options for the PrecisOR directly on our website or by filling out our contact form. Additionally, our technical support is available to address individual questions and help you find the best solution for your needs.

PRECISION IN METALWORKING

Functions of the machine

The PrecisOR guarantees precise and efficient inspection of your products, regardless of the nature of the test object. Even with translucent and reflective materials, a wide variety of characteristics can be examined. Length measurements, angularity and straightness are only a small selection of the possible features that can be recorded by the system as standard. The PrecisOR is as flexible as individual geometric requirements and adapts perfectly to your process. Even complex contours, holes and specific features are precisely recorded, documented and prepared for your quality management.

INDUSTRIES

Relevance of transformer plate measurement in many key industries:

  • Energy supply
  • Electromotoren
  • Power
  • Electronicsindustrie
  • Automotive industry
  • Wind power plants
  • Hydro

Energy and electrical engineering

Transformer plates are used in transformers, which are essential for power transmission and distribution in various fields such as power supply, industry, and transportation. The correct dimensioning of the transformer plates is crucial for the performance and efficiency of the transformer. Incorrect sizing can lead to increased losses, overheating and a shortened life of the transformer. With the PresisOR, the exact dimensions of the transformer plates will be quickly checked.

Mechanical engineering and industrial equipment

Sheet metal cutting, stamping and laser parts are used in many areas. The precision of the parts is often decisive for the smooth assembly of the machines and systems as well as for their function.

CASE STUDY

LTC Legnano Teknoelectric and HECHT continue on their common path.

LTC has been using a HECHT PresicOR for the measurement of transformer plates since 2021. Transformer sheets are needed for the production of magnetic cores. LTC is the world market leader in the production of magnetic cores.

LTC Legnano Teknoelectric Company, headquartered in Milan, is an Italian family business founded and managed by the Bertelli family. The company has been active in the field of magnetic sheet manufacturingfor over 65 years  , producing magnetic cores for electrical transformers. The company manages the entire production cycle, from the purchase of raw materials to the production of the final product. LTC employs more than 850 people at its various production sites.

Today, LTC Group has an international presence and a leading position in the market, thanks to the many production facilities in Italy, Taiwan in the United Arab Emirates – Dubai, as well as a new production facility in Canada.

The production of transformer plates has very different challenges. For the end product – the transformer – the high-precision production of the plates is crucial for a very high efficiency of the transformer. The correct dimensioning of the transformer plates is crucial for the performance and efficiency of the transformer. Incorrect sizing can lead to increased losses, overheating and a shortened life of the transformer.

HECHT has presented an innovation that enables manufacturers like LTC to carry out fast and high-precision optical measurements. The transformer plate is placed on a measuring table with granite stone. The sheet metal is scanned with a camera and measured with HECHT’s innovative image processing. The target dimensions are compared with the actual dimensions. Extensive measurement reports can be generated for each measurement. Thanks to the high-precision geometry measurement of lengths, widths, angles, cut-outs and bores, manufacturers such as LTC Legnano can precisely monitor the production processes and thus meet the high requirements for accuracy and constantly optimize and improve them.

With the experience gained since 2021 with fast and efficient optical measurement, LTC and HECHT have agreed to expand the partnership together. A total of 10 additional plants will be delivered to the various plants of LTC Teknoelectric Company and put into operation.

In addition to the delivery of 10 additional measuring systems for transformer plates, LTC and HECHT have agreed to cooperate in other areas of application in the field of the production of magnetic cores. Both companies want to develop further optical measuring systems for the quality control of transformer plates. Both companies are family-run and rely on long-term partnerships.
